Domenicali on ‘fantastic’ Barrichello achievement

26 August 2010

Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali is delighted with the fact that Rubens Barrichello will be starting his 300th Formula 1 race this weekend, becoming the first driver to do so in the 60-year history of the sport.

The pair worked together during the Paulista’s six seasons at Ferrari between 2000 and 2005, with the Brazilian now competing for Williams.

“I have great memories of Rubens with Ferrari,” said Domenicali. “With him I spent a period in which we won a lot of things together and I think that he deserved those kinds of achievements.

“He’s very dedicated to Formula 1 and he’s very dedicated to the people who are working with him, so I’m very happy for him that he’s able to achieve this fantastic result.

“I really hope he’s able to continue like that - why not for 300 more Grands Prix?!”
