Small chance of rain during Belgian Grand Prix

29 August 2010

The Belgian Grand Prix could remain dry this Sunday afternoon. There was a localised shower during this morning's GP3 race but even before the action ended the rain was gone; however, although opinions vary in the paddock, the radar currently indicates that no rain should arrive until after the race.

At present, McLaren believes that showers could arrive towards the end of the race, which could prompt action similar to that in 2008.

Thus far, all F1 practice sessions plus yesterday's qualifying have been affected by sporadic showers.
