Alguersuari loses point with 20-second penalty
Jaime Alguersuari has lost tenth position and therefore the point he scored for Toro Rosso in the Belgian Grand Prix, having been handed a post-race penalty of 20 seconds.
The Barcelona driver, who first scored in Malaysia and Spain earlier this season, had been delighted after holding off Vitantonio Liuzzi’s Force India although the Spaniard is now officially classified in 12th place.
The penalty, which was given by FIA race stewards including 1992 title winner Nigel Mansell, comes for skipping the Bus Stop Chicane and gaining an advantage whilst battling with Liuzzi on Lap 42 of 44.
