Kobayashi wearing black armband for Tomizawa

Sauber Formula 1 driver Kamui Koabyashi will be doning a black armband for this weekend's Italian Grand Prix following the tragic death of compatriot Shoya Tomizawa at Misano on Sunday.

19-year-old Tomizawa lost his life following the Moto2 event for MotoGP's San Marino Grand Prix as, having fallen from his bike, he was struck by that of fellow competitor Scott Redding whilst in the middle of the track.

The MotoGP community remains in deep shock following the death, with governing body FIM having described Tomizawa as 'a charming and talented rider with a promising future'.
