'I struggle to see grid lines' – Massa on Spa incident
10 September 2010 – Felipe Massa has admitted that he was fortunate not to be penalised at the Belgian Grand Prix, having overshot his grid box by approximately two metres just seconds before the race began. Unusually, the Ferrari driver received no punishment as Formula 1 governing body the FIA was unaware of the slip-up.
“Usually I'm the lowest guy in the car,” Massa explained to reports in the Italian Grand Prix paddock. “I didn't see the line very well and I was lucky (not to be penalised)."
