It has been confirmed by Lotus Racing that Malaysian Fairuz Fauzy will be back in the cockpit at the Singapore night event next weekend, with the team’s official reserve driver having first made an appearance at Sepang in early April.
After Malaysia, Fauzy then drove at Silverstone and Hockenheim and so next Friday’s outing will mark the fourth for the 27-year-old in an official Grand Prix weekend session.
“Fairuz is driving in FP1 and it’s always good to see a young Malaysian competing on a global level, particularly for Lotus Racing,” said Team Principal Tony Fernandes.
