Yamamoto pleased about wet weather forecast

8 October 2010

Sakon Yamamoto is happy that rain should be falling on Suzuka as Saturday approaches, following two dry first practice sessions on Friday after which the local man was the slowest of the twenty-four runners.

With Hispania Racing team-mate Bruno Senna 23rd, Yamamoto ended the day one place but a large half a second behind the Brazilian.

“It was good to be back racing at Suzuka in front of my home crowd at this challenging circuit,” said Sakon, who first competed in a Japanese Grand Prix for Super Aguri in 2006.

“Today was quite successful and we managed to do many laps. Now we have to analyse the data and work on improving for tomorrow. It’s going to be exciting to run here under wet conditions - something which I really like to do.”
