Mixed feelings for Sauber despite points result
24 October 2010 – Peter Sauber’s cars picked up a second consecutive double points finish in the Korean Grand Prix although the Team Principal admits that the general situation remains unsuccessful, with the Hinwil team hoping to catch Williams for seventh in the Constructors’ Championship.
Only three teams saw both of their cars finish in the top ten at Yeongam, with the others being winners Ferrari and Williams, although Swiss businessman Sauber sees his outfit still trailing the Grove squad by 22 points for seventh overall.
“Both drivers in the points in a turbulent and difficult race - that’s positive,” he said. “Compliments to both drivers who had to fight hard, particularly towards the end of the race.
“However, although we scored six points, we couldn’t reduce the gap to our direct competitors. We now have two chances left.”
