2 November 2010

A selection of well-known Formula 1 faces were on hand for this year’s Grand Prix Mechanics Reunion, with World Champions Sir Jackie Stewart and Damon Hill being joined by the likes of Sir Frank Williams, Martin Brundle and John Watson in order to celebrate the work of the sport’s unsung heroes.

An annual occasion, the Reunion was organised by the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust – a registered charity established by triple title winner Stewart and dedicated to the wellbeing of F1 mechanics both past and present.

Having run for over two decades, the trust helps to maintain a strong retirement period for mechanics, with many having ended their working days without a company pension or health insurance.

This year’s event was staged at the Williams F1 facility in Grove, Oxfordshire.
