Klien still acclimatising to modified setup

2010 Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix: Saturday qualifying results

Hispania Racing will start the final race of 2010 from the back row of the grid in Abu Dhabi, with Christian Klien managing no more than the final grid slot after suffering from a car setup which has been changed since final free practice.

Klien’s best effort of 1:45.296 trails that of team-mate Bruno Senna by just over two tenths of a second, although the Austrian is sure he knows why.

“It was a difficult day for us and we had problems with the brakes in the third practice,” explained the former Jaguar and Red Bull racer.

“That’s why we had to change the braking system, which then worked better than before.

“Unfortunately, there was not enough time during the qualifying session to get used to the new setup and I didn’t feel very comfortable in the car.

“But I hope that we can do a good race tomorrow and finish with both cars again to end the season in a good way.”
