Chandhok set for GP2 test run

18 November 2010

Hispania Racing’s Karun Chandhok will return to the GP2 Series fold today to help his former team, Ocean Racing Technology, as it prepares for next year. Chandhok is due to run at Paul Ricard in the south of France and will help the squad evaluate the new 2011 GP2 Series car.

"I am very happy to go to Paul Ricard to help my old team,” said the 26-year-old. “I really hope my experience in F1 and in GP2 will be useful to Ocean.

“My goal for 2011 is to remain in F1, but for the time being it is good to have the opportunity of knowing the new GP2 car and help Ocean to obtain to better settings," added the Indian, who raced for HRT in the first ten races before making way for Sakon Yamamoto and then Christian Klien. His best finish was a 14th place in Australia.
