Italian F3 drivers test Formula 1 Ferrari

3 December 2010

The top three finishers in this year’s Italian Formula 3 Championship have been rewarded in the form of a Formula 1 test, with Champion Cesar Ramos having been joined at Vallelunga on Thursday by Stephane Richelmi and Andrea Caldarelli.

Driving a car prepared by Ferrari’s F1 Clienti department, the trio of drivers piloted the Constructors’ Championship-winning F2008 of two years ago, with Luca Baldisserri also present as head of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

“Taking to the track in a Ferrari Formula 1 car was an incredible experience, better than anything I expected,” Ramos said at the circuit found on the outskirts of Rome.

“I tried to enjoy it as much as possible because it really was a dream come true. During the session I was guided by a group of professionals who made me feel perfectly at ease and that contributed to making it an unforgettable experience.”
