Scuderia Toro Rosso has announced that it will be unveiling its 2011 car, the STR6, at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit on Tuesday 1 February, with the covers set to come off in the circuit’s pit lane prior to the start of pre-season testing.
‘Here’s an early warning to make a note in your shiny new 2011 diaries,’ reads a team press release on Friday morning. ‘Scuderia Toro Rosso will be launching its new car, the STR6, on the first day of Formula 1 testing next year.’
For next season, the Faenza-based squad formerly known as Minardi will be retaining drivers Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari plus Ferrari engines. After Sauber, the outfit is the second to release the date of its 2011 car launch.
