Formula 1 launch Force India F1, 8 February 2011

Force India has launched its 2011 car, the Mercedes-powered VJM04, online on Tuesday afternoon. The team’s fourth Formula 1 contender will be driven by Adrian Sutil and Scottish newcomer Paul di Resta.

Although Williams’ latest livery is yet to be seen, the unveiling of Force India’s machine marks the final revealing of a Formula 1 car this year, with others having either hosted formal launch ceremonies or debuted on-track in Valencia testing.

The VJM04 has few changes, livery-wise, although the car does sport a Mercedes-style air intake – split into two parts - underneath the roll bar.

Reaction from the Force India launch:

- Force India aiming for top five in 2011
- Hülkenberg not planning to race this year
- Force India switches to blade roll hoop
- Consistency the key for di Resta
- Sutil 'excited' ahead of 2011 season
