Champions honoured in Motor Sport ceremony
17 February 2011 – The Roundhouse in London was the venue on Wednesday night as a selection of motorsport faces gathered for the annual Motor Sport Magazine Hall of Fame. Honoured this year were former triple World Champion Jack Brabham, Team Principal Frank Williams, 1979 title winner Jody Scheckter and IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti.
A selection of faces gathered, such as Sir Stirling Moss, Christian Horner, Eddie Jordan, John Watson, Karun Chandhok and Jake Humphrey plus celebrities James Martin, Chris Rea and Nick Mason. Also in attendance, for award presenting, was legendary F1 commentator Murray Walker.
“Number one: I must remind myself not to let my ego get the better of me because this is an amazing magic,” Sir Frank Williams commented after receiving his accolade. “It is an honour, something I will try not to brag about.”
