‘Full recovery’ expected for Jackie Stewart

A press release has been issued by the Stewart family explaining that former triple World Champion Sir Jackie is expected to make a ‘full recovery’ following chest pains which resulted in him being admitted to a London hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

Whilst flying home from the Geneva Motor Show to Heathrow, Stewart suffered chest pains and lost consciousness on-board British Airways flight 0727, with medicals crews then waiting on the ground before transporting the Scot to Hillingdon Hospital.

However, in a statement released by the 71-year-old’s family, he is described as in good health and making progress towards a full recovery. GPUpdate.net wishes Sir Jackie the best ahead of the new 2011 season, which begins in just over three weeks’ time.
