Randstad upgrades Williams partnership

24 March 2011

Recruitment and HR services company Randstad has extended its partnership with Williams ahead of the 2011 season, and has opted to increase its involvement at the Grove-based squad. As a result of Thursday's new agreement, Randstad will be given increased exposure by the outfit throughout the upcoming campaign.

As the first race of the season approaches, Williams has confirmed that the logo will now be displayed on the FW33’s engine cover, and is set to feature on the driver suits of Rubens Barrichello and Pastor Maldonado. The brand will also retain its slot on the cockpit surrounds of both cars, as well as on pitcrew suits and team clothing.

"Randstad is a very important partner of ours and has contributed positively to the team over the past five seasons," Williams Team Principal Sir Frank Williams said. "Their philosophy that success comes from a dedicated workforce reflects our own and so we are delighted to be able to assist them in the communication of that message through Formula 1.

"I welcome the news of their continued commitment to the team and look forward to more rewarding years of partnership."

Frans Cornelis, Managing Director of Group Marketing and Communications at Randstad, added: "Sponsoring Williams F1 has delivered global brand visibility and been a success in terms of local activation by our operating companies when a race is held in their country.

"As we are one of the world’s leading recruiters for engineering, IT and technical professionals; that is another aspect that fits. We are happy that Randstad will feature even more prominently on the new car. We are looking forward to a great racing season!"
