Virgin 'extremely happy' with both drivers

15 July 2011

Graeme Lowdon, CEO of Marussia Virgin Racing, has quelled rumours that Jérôme d'Ambrosio may be leaving the team in the near future. His comments respond to a claim that the Belgian will be entering talks with another squad, but Lowdon says this is untrue and is looking towards re-signing both d'Ambrosio and Timo Glock for 2012.

"I spoke to Jérôme’s manager at Silverstone and that is simply not the case," Lowdon told The Star when asked whether d'Ambrosio will be talking to another outfit at the Nürburgring. "It would be nice to continue with the same line up next year.

"We are extremely happy with the drivers we have got and we have no plans to change it. It is not unusual to chop and change your drive line up quite a bit but we have got two guys who are really good."
