Trulli pleased to be back in car

27 July 2011

Jarno Trulli returns to the cockpit this weekend, having taken time out as Team Lotus ran Karun Chandhok alongside Heikki Kovalainen in Germany. After spending time on the sidelines, the Italian is naturally content to be rejoining the action.

“I’m obviously pleased to be back in the car and looking forward to getting on-track in Hungary,” he said on Wednesday.

“This year it's more difficult than any other season to predict how competitive we are going to be at any of the circuits we race at, mainly because there are so many new factors to take into account that comparisons with previous seasons are largely redundant.”

After lodging several complaints in relation to his car’s power steering over recent weeks, Trulli has now been handed a revised system.

“I think we can expect to be okay because we were competitive in Monaco, a circuit that’s pretty similar to Hungary - relatively low-speed with a need for good traction to push out of the slower corners and not so much reliance on aero performance,” he added.
