Sauber has announced a technical partnership with Oerlikon ahead of this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix. The Swiss company specialises in machine and plant engineering and develops technologies for textiles and advanced nanotechnology.
With the collaboration targeted at the development and expansion of environmentally friendly solutions, one project is a solar park at the Sauber headquarters in Hinwil.
“With its extreme challenges, Formula 1 has always been a technology pioneer,” Team Principal Peter Sauber says in a Wednesday press release.
“Our aim is to extend this to our company’s environmental compatibility as well. We are very pleased to have found in Oerlikon, a highly competent technology partner.”
