Kamui Kobayashi has shared his side of the story in relation to the collision which took Lewis Hamilton out of Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix.
After being passed by the McLaren, Kobayashi was alongside the 2008 World Champion when the latter moved to retake the racing line on the run towards Les Combes.
“I knew perfectly well he was faster than me so had no reason to fight with him,” said the Japanese driver. “After he overtook me it was not my intention to get my position back, so I stayed on my line and didn’t expect him to move over.”
