Jaime Alguersuari’s first music album has gone down as a large hit in both homeland Spain and the United Kingdom, home of electronic music. Released on 13 September by Blanco y Negro (Black and White) Records, the Barcelona driver’s work has proved to be the fifth-highest downloaded for electrionc music on iTunes.
Alguersuari’s music is released under the name ‘Squire’ and is often recognised in large events such as BSW 2009 and the Festival Barcelona Music Conference 2010. The Toro Rosso driver is also a regular at Ibiza nightclub Amnesia.
Now 21, Alguersuari was inspired by Walt Disney’s Fastasia at the age of seven, on the same day he competed in his first karting race. His maiden visit to Ibiza came six years later, at the age of 13, when visiting the Spanish island with friends.
