Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi will start tomorrow afternoon's Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka from seventh place, having been promoted to the spot from tenth on the grid because he began a flying lap during the final stage of qualifying.
Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher and the Lotus Renault GP cars of Bruno Senna and Vitaly Petrov had been classified ahead of the Japanese driver at the end of the session, but the stewards have since decided to alter the grid to reflect the Q3 lap count.
