Di Resta braced for more unknown circuits

The remainder of Paul di Resta’s rookie season brings more challenges than for most, as the Scot has returned to his early-season mind-set which includes learning circuits. So far in 2011, the Force India driver has scored points on five occasions, with the majority coming on tracks previously unknown to the West Lothian man.

“That's right! In fact I've not raced at any of the remaining tracks on the calendar,” di Resta said on Tuesday.

“I did the young driver test at Abu Dhabi last year, but the rest are unknown to me. I've visited all these places and walked the tracks last year, but there's only so much you learn from that. Plus, for Korea I've only done half a day in the simulator, so there's lots for me to get to grips with.”

Heading into this weekend’s race at Yeongam, di Resta sits 13th in the Drivers’ Championship and remains the highest-placed newcomer, seven points ahead of Sauber’s Sergio Pérez.
