Team Lotus has announced that 25-year-old Rodolfo González will be the first to drive its car as this week’s Young Driver test begins in Abu Dhabi. The Venezuelan will be at the wheel on Tuesday before Brazil’s Luiz Razia and the United States’ Alex Rossi take their respective turns across the following two days.
“I am really pleased to be back with Team Lotus again in Abu Dhabi,” says GP2 driver González. “Last year I learned a lot in the time I had with the team and, another year on, I am sure I can keep developing on and off-track with this opportunity.”
The test is only eligible for drivers with two or less Grand Prix starts to their name.
