Razia to drive Lotus in Interlagos practice

22 November 2011

Team Lotus has confirmed to GPUpdate.net that Luiz Razia will take part in the first free practice session for his home Formula 1 event in Brazil this weekend.

The 90-minute period on Friday morning will mark the second practice session Razia has featured in this year, after China in mid-April.

He will drive Jarno Trulli's car, meaning the experienced Italian sits out until the afternoon.

22-year-old  Razia has spent his season racing for the new Team AirAsia in GP2, notching up one pole position and two podium finishes.

Brazil marks the last race for Team Lotus under its current guise; Tony Fernandes’ outfit will be renamed Caterham Formula One for 2012, with Lotus Renault GP in-turn switching its chassis name to ‘Lotus’.
