Variety of special helmets on show in Brazil

25 November 2011
2011 Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix: Friday

Added to Kamui Kobayashi's unique Linkin Park-designed helmet for the Brazilian Grand Prix, a number of other drivers are also sporting special colours this weekend.

HRT F1's Vitantonio Liuzzi has adopted a chalkboard-inspired design, enabling the Italian to fill in the areas of his helmet personally and easily correct any mistakes.

"When Lucky (designer) told me his idea for this last special edition I loved it," Liuzzi explained, having been presented with his helmet on Thursday. "The possibility of customizing your helmet how you want is something that has never been seen before in Formula 1 and something that I thought was quite fun to finish the season off."

Other drivers wearing custom artwork at Interlagos are home competitors Felipe Massa and Rubens Barrichello, the Ferrari driver using a mostly-golden helmet, with the latter opting to pay tribute to late triple World Champion Ayrton Senna.
