Michael Schumacher moved into the top five as afternoon practice took place in Brazil on Friday afternoon. With a best lap time of 1:13.723, the four-time Interlagos winner of 1994, 1995, 2000 and 2002 was four tenths off the pace-setting time of Lewis Hamilton. However, the German expects drama as rain is forecast for the weekend.
“We had quite a good day here at Interlagos and were able to work through our schedule consistently, even if the track was pretty slippery,” Schumacher commented.
“The lap times are traditionally very tight here so let's see what we can do in qualifying tomorrow. For the rest of the weekend, the weather forecast is for rain, so maybe we will see some surprises as we reach the end of the season.”
Team-mate Nico Rosberg’s day ended in eighth position.
