Timo Glock was left to rue consistent tyre issues throughout practice for this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix, describing the behaviour of the Pirelli rubber on offer as ‘a bit difficult’ to manage. The ex Jordan and Toyota driver ended the day in 22nd place, one spot behind Belgian team-mate Jérôme d'Ambrosio.
"I had quite a normal FP1 and FP2 today," Glock said. "I struggled a bit with the tyres; their behaviour was a bit difficult and in terms of managing them right for a qualifying lap it is not easy.
"But in general today was okay, we were able to work through our programme. Now we have to keep an eye on the weather and decide what direction we want to take."
Adding to Virgin Racing’s current problems, the German was also heard explaining over his team radio in morning practice that ‘the car is getting worse and worse.’
