Jenson Button is already thinking about where he can pass Red Bull pairing Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in tomorrow afternoon’s Brazilian Grand Prix, with the McLaren driver enjoying a vastly improved Interlagos grid position. Starting from third place, the 2009 Champion lines up just ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
"It’s the last race of the year and we want to end on a high," said Button. "It’s my best qualifying result for six years here! Interlagos is such a good circuit for fighting and very good for overtaking, plus we have the DRS tomorrow out of Turn 3.
"Hopefully we can get these two guys (Vettel and Webber) tomorrow, but we’ll see. Hopefully we can end this reasonably good season off with a high."
Button is currently winning the battle for second place in the overall championship standings, with Fernando Alonso and Webber the only men who can overhaul him.
