2011 Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix: Sunday race results

Felipe Massa has praised Lewis Hamilton after the pair mutually agreed to shake off their 2011 rivalry at Interlagos on Sunday. Prior to the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix, the McLaren driver approached his Ferrari counterpart during media interviews.

Massa and Hamilton have collided on no less than five occasions this season, with the first being in Monaco followed by more clashes in Silverstone, Singapore and Suzuka as well as the inaugural Indian Grand Prix.

“I want to say I was pleased that Lewis came round to see me while I was talking to the journalists,” said the Ferrari driver. “It was a very nice gesture on his part.”

Massa went on to finish fifth, whereas Hamilton retired with gearbox problems.
