Kimi Räikkönen travelled to Lotus Renault GP’s Enstone factory in order to have a cockpit seat fitting on Thursday. This year sees the 2007 World Champion return to Formula 1 following two years in the World Rally Championship and NASCAR.
It is not yet known whether the seat fitting applies to Räikkönen’s 2012 race car or the 2010 Renault chassis which the Finn hopes to test on the run-up to February. The team is yet to officially confirm whether an outing in the old car will be taking place.
Development: On Thursday evening, GPUpdate.net was informed by Lotus that Räikkönen spent this afternoon working on his seating position for the 2012 race car.
