Timo Glock has put the first miles on Marussia’s new MR01, which was unveiled privately at Silverstone on Monday morning. The German is now in action on-track as part of a promotional filming session which concludes tomorrow.
Having driven only one day of testing in the 2011 chassis, Glock was first to take to the cockpit in Northamptonshire. In a filming day which has been split into two parts, rookie team-mate Charles Pic of France will drive on Tuesday.
Marussia is yet to confirm whether or not it has passed the final FIA crash test, failure of which prevented the squad from joining the final pre-season test session at the Circuit de Catalunya which has been staged over the last four days.
Also on Monday, HRT is running a filming day in Barcelona.
