Lewis Hamilton was left feeling 'satisfied' with his third place finish in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon, backing up the podium result he recorded in Melbourne last weekend. The McLaren had led in the early stages and made a strong restart after the early red flag period, but a slow pit-stop saw him drop down the order.
"I think we can be satisfied, definitely," Hamilton said in the post-race press conference. "Congratulations to Fernando (Alonso) and Sergio (Pérez), they both drove very well today.
"Of course I would love to have more points this wekened but I can't really complain. I'm on the podium for the second wekeend in a row so I'm pretty happy. We did a pretty good job."
Team-mate Jenson Button endured a more challenging race en route to 14th, having been forced to change his front wing after contact with HRT's Narain Karthikeyan.
