Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer for Red Bull Racing, has been awarded an OBE by Her Royal Highness The Queen in Windsor. The 53-year-old, who won his first Formula 1 title in 1992, picks up the honour for his services to motorsport.
Newey travelled to Windsor Castle, having first won a title with Nigel Mansell and Williams 20 years ago. Since then, he has designed a further total of seven championship-winning F1 cars for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull.
The aforementioned Nigel Mansell was also at Windsor Castle as he collected his own OBE for services to charity and motorsport.
