As DTM kicked off at Hockenheim last weekend, Nico Rosberg enjoyed a special outing in Juan Manuel Fangio’s Mercedes as a late celebration for his maiden win.
Having finally won in China, marking the silver arrows’ first victory as a works team since Fangio triumphed at Monza in 1955, the German drove the Argentinean’s streamlined car on Saturday.
On Sunday, Michael Schumacher – at his first DTM race meeting for 20 years – showed off the 2011 F1 car to the large crowd.
The DTM season-opener was then won by Mercedes’ Gary Paffett, reserve driver for McLaren in Formula 1.
