Lotus has changed its plans for the ongoing Formula 1 test in Italy, meaning Kimi Räikkönen will no longer be driving the E20 this week. The decision was made followed a washout on Tuesday.
After the terrible Day 1 weather prevented anybody from collecting any meaningful dry data, Lotus decided that having one driver comparing car changes over the course of the two remaining days would be better than switching between Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean. On Tuesday, reserve driver Jérôme d’Ambrosio had been at the wheel.
As a result, the Franco-Swiss is already in the car and will remain there for Thursday.
