Force India’s running has been severely cut back at Mugello on Wednesday, as Paul di Resta continues to sit in the garage with suspected hydraulics problems. Despite performing seven single laps, he is yet to set a time.
The issue is also a blow for di Resta personally, as loaned reserve driver Jules Bianchi drove on Tuesday and other team-mate Nico Hülkenberg will be in the car tomorrow.
“We have some reliability issues that we are trying to solve, possibly related to hydraulics but not sure yet,” a team spokesperson confirmed to GPUpdate.net with two and half hours remaining. “We hope to be back out before the end of the day.”
At 3:30pm, Romain Grosjean remained fastest for Lotus.
