Donnelly returns as driver steward in Canada
6 June 2012 – Martin Donnelly will make his second appearance as a driver steward representative at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix, having previously undertaken the role in Korea last year. The 47-year-old made 13 race starts during his time in Formula 1.
Debuting for Arrows Grand Prix at the 1989 French Grand Prix, Donnelly finished in 12th place. For the following year he signed with Camel Team Lotus, picking up three top ten finishes before his career was ended in a monumental practice crash at Jerez.
Despite his initial injuries, the Ulsterman recovered well enough to make a host of national racing appearances, before setting up the Donnelly Track Academy.
