Sebastian Vettel has received a warning from FIA stewards following a collision with Bruno Senna during the first Canadian Grand Prix practice session on Friday morning.

As Senna’s Williams approached the final chicane at Turns 13 and 14, it was pushed out wide as Vettel dived through on the inside line and made contact with the Brazilian’s car; the move allowed the World Champion to begin his next flying lap with a clear track in front of him.

Both drivers shared their versions of events with the stewards, which include ex Grand Prix driver Martin Donnelly. After evidence was given by the two parties, television footage and car telemetry was analysed before a reprimand was given in favour of a fine or penalty.
