Kimi Räikkönen has blamed Friday Practice problems after a disappointing Qualifying result in Montreal. The 2007 World Champion failed to get through to the final session and will start tomorrow’s race from 12th position.
“We got some issues with the diff (differential). It’s a hydraulic problem, we had some problems yesterday and it has seemed to come back,” the Finn told reporters. “When the car is not handling how you want, it’s difficult but we tried. We should be pretty okay with the tyres tomorrow; hopefully we can get the car running at 100 percent. We had no problems on the long runs yesterday, so we’ll see what happens.”
Räikkönen lies sixth in the driver’s standings with 51 points, 25 behind leader Fernando Alonso.
