Following his heavy Monaco qualifying crash of 2011, this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix is a first for Sergio Pérez. However, the Mexican was not pleased with his Saturday qualifying result, which means he will line up 15th for the start of the race.
“No definitely not, I’m very disappointed,” the Sauber driver told reporters. “I had a big flat-spot after locking the fronts and running off the track.
"I lost everything, I had a lot of vibrations and couldn’t see the braking points. It was a shame but tomorrow anything can happen and hopefully we can get some points. I think a podium is out of the question; our target should be to focus on the points.”
From 11th on the grid, the Sauber attack is led by Kamui Kobayashi.
