Paul di Resta is confident that he and Force India can challenge for another top ten qualifying position in Valencia on Saturday. From the seven Saturday sessions so far in 2012, the Scot has already managed to reach Q3 on two occasions.
“When I got in the car this morning, the baseline se-up was a good starting point and I didn’t really change that much for the rest of the day,” he was pleased to report.
“Our single lap speed looks strong, as does the long run pace, and we appear to have a good feel for the tyres already. Given the pace we have shown today we seem competitive, so hopefully we can challenge for the top ten in qualifying tomorrow.”
Earlier in the week, Team Principal and Managing Director Vijay Mallya declared that he is sure his squad will be able to achieve a second podium finish in the near future.
