Paul di Resta is positive that Force India can carry its Valencia momentum into Silverstone this weekend. Last time out, at the European Grand Prix, Vijay Mallya’s team celebrated its largest ever single race score as fifth and seventh places for Nico Hülkenberg and the aforementioned Scot brought in a much-needed total of 16 points.
“I think we arrive at Silverstone feeling positive,” di Resta says. “The performance level we showed in Valencia was a boost for the team and, if we can build on that ahead of Silverstone, I’m optimistic we can continue to put on a strong show.
“The guys back at the factory are working hard to give us some developments in time for the weekend, so hopefully we can find a bit more performance.”
At Silverstone in 2011, di Resta struggled home to 15th place after running into the Toro Rosso of Sébastien Buemi while fighting for position at Brooklands corner.
