Force India’s Paul di Resta is no longer managed by Anthony Hamilton, it has been revealed by The Telegraph on Wednesday. The father of Lewis Hamilton, having previously gone separate ways from his son, engineered the Force India driver into Formula 1 last year.
According to the British newspaper, the separation is believed to have occurred several weeks ago, but both parties have so far declined to comment over the matter. It remains to be seen whether the break-up could be relate to di Resta’s plans for next season, with many sources pointing him towards Mercedes should Michael Schumacher decide to retire.
With the news now out in the open, di Resta can expect to receive numerous questions over the matter as the sport descends on Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
