Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, has hinted that his future will be confirmed soon. The seven-time World Champion says he has ‘achieved very little’, despite returning the podium for the first time since his Formula 1 comeback in Valencia a fortnight ago.
"There have been no talks between Mercedes and myself on an extension, but these talks will take place,” Schumacher told Germany's Sport Bild. However, the 43 year-old hasn’t suggested how much longer he will continue his illustrious career stating “I'm still very motivated. Only time will tell for how long."
The German driver has had a large number of retirements this season but still sits 12th in the standings, thanks to his third place finish in the European Grand Prix.
