Final day of Silverstone test gets underway
13 July 2012 – The final day of Silverstone's Young Driver Test got underway in wet conditions this morning, with Williams and Marussia the two teams present. Valtteri Bottas, Max Chilton and Rio Haryanto are again in action, with today's test taking place on the shorter International Circuit as opposed to the venue's Grand Prix layout.
Thursday's running was topped by Williams reserve driver Bottas, who set a series of quick times in the morning session before the threatened rain fell in the afternoon. Behind, current Carlin GP2 drivers Max Chilton and Rio Haryanto wound up next to each other in second and third places, with HRT's Qing Hua completing the order.
After the conclusion of the 2012 F1 campaign, the sport's nine remaining teams will head to the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi for the traditional Young Driver week.
