2012 German Formula 1 Grand Prix: Saturday starting grid

Sergio Pérez has become another driver to receive a penalty at Hockenheim, falling back to 17th on the grid after delaying Kimi Räikkönen in the closing stages of Q2.

Räikkönen, who did progress to the top ten shootout, made his feelings clear over a team radio message which was broadcast to television viewers. Lotus duly passed the message on to FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting, who informed the stewards.

For Germany, the driver representative steward is former F1 racer and 1992 Sportscar World Champion Derek Warwick.

Also taking penalties at Hockenheim, but for gearbox changes, are Mark Webber, Romain Grosjean and Nico Rosberg who line up eighth, 20th and 22nd respectively.
