2012 Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix: Sunday race results

Romain Grosjean continued his impressive Formula 1 season by challenging Lewis Hamilton for victory before finishing third in the Hungarian Grand Prix. The reigning GP2 Champion has now finished on the podium three times in 2012.

“It was a fantastic race,” said the Franco-Swiss, who qualified on the front row and whose previous pair of rostrum results came in Bahrain and Canada.

“We were fighting for the win for almost the whole race. It was a great job by the team and we’re back on the podium, which is what we want – and it’s fantastic to be here with both cars as well. Trying to fight for the win is something special so I hope next time we get this win.”

Grosjean has now scored 76 championship points in 2012, which leaves him tied with Jenson Button and just a single point behind Nico Rosberg for sixth in the standings.
