Two years ago, GPUpdate TV brought you a feature demonstrating what would happen when a reporter is placed in a Formula 1 car. As it was time for a follow-up, Ivo Pakvis travelled to the Bedford Autodrome for a drive in a Formula 2 car and opportunity to bring you a unique report.
This was the first time ever that a complete novice, without any form of racing experience, had stepped into an F2 machine. Formula 2 was more than happy to help us put this together and duly pulled out all the stops. GPUpdate logos were placed on the car, as was the name of our driver. And, just for us, the Bedford Autodrome was closed off for the day.
This was a real day of testing, allowing GPUpdate to do all the filming and driving we liked. Pakvis was helped by his very own mechanics and instructors while, watching from the sidelines, F2 championship leader Luciano Bacheta kept a keen eye on proceedings.
This unprecedented feature is now available to watch online on GPUpdate TV.
